Mein Kampf offers an interesting interpretation of politics, people, and foreign policy matters. To characterize it as simply a racist work is to oversimplify its message. Germany did not follow Hitler because he was a racist, they followed him because he promised a great future, and Mein Kampf is where he promised that great future.
Mein Kampf is often portrayed as nothing more than an Anti-Semitic work, however only 6% of it even talks about the Jews. The rest contains Hitler's ideas and beliefs for a greater nation plus his plan on how to accomplish that goal. He outlines his plans for not only world conquest, but the conquest of the universe. The majority of the work involves Hitler's discussion of the German people's difficult times after the First World War, his political theories and his organization of the Nazi Party, as well as many attacks against his enemies which makes it a very interesting and moving story.

I read this book a long, long time ago in Spanish, my mother had it, and it was very interesting to read it again in English. It is a very serious book, sometimes difficult because you have to read it with an open mind, sad too, in the end. liked it a lot, learned new things that I had forgotten with the years. I learn to view life with a different lens.
To appreciate the light that exists in the world you have to study the darkness and it’s roots as well. Hitler is a historical figure that all should study, even though buying this book will probably get you put on a list somewhere. Learning about his motives and perspective will help you better understand the danger that could exist in your own.
A great read for those who wish to understand the ideals of Adolf Hitler and National Socialism.
Good read, would recommend. Sheds light on early 20th century European history and one man's interpretation of the first world war and the after-effects. Filled with tirades and arguments against parliamentary democracy, Jews, Communism, prostitution, race mixing, and more as well as Hitlers views on how to counter these threats to his nationalistic vision. And despite long tirades and arguments, always eventful and never boring. Some notes are included to provide basic background for readers who might not be familiar with German history and cultural references.
If you read this book with focus, objectivity, and equip yourself with the tools for critical thinking, you will gain much insight into the causes of these endless wars and social upheavals that plague the planet today.

This is the one you’ve been waiting for. Side by side English and German, so I can both work on my German and critique the translation. Highly recommended if you want to make a real study of this work. Looking forward to Vol. 2, which I assume will follow at some point, although I have months of study here.
